"Bet I caught on faster than he did," I say, giving her a small smile. It feels nice, to have her lean against me. Nice in a way that's different than how Cass leans against me. It feels natural and peaceful, like for a moment I can forget what I really am. A dangerous thing, but one I can't keep myself from doing.
