It's a quiet sort of Christmas, something for which Lucy is pleased. Granted, it's not like she's had so many that weren't, but still, even as the holiday brings with it memories of people who aren't around any longer, it's also a reminder to be grateful for the ones who are. Spending the afternoon at the home of a good friend, her brother with her, a few others she knows around, she isn't sure it would be possible not to be. It's one way in which she can count herself lucky. There aren't always many of those.

A glass of wine in her hand, she leans against a wall, out of the way but not separate from the small crowd, and smiles faintly. The circumstances being what they are, she can't really think of any better way to spend Christmas afternoon.
