“I have considered it, but I have not approached anyone at the hospital,” Henri confessed with a tiny, apologetic smile. “They have machines there - machines and knowledge of human physiology that I fear I cannot match.” He sighed. “But if this has taught me anything, it is that I must be better equipped if another strange malady ever strikes.” While he hated to think that something of this nature would happen again, Combeferre was a practical man. There was always the possibility of something else. He only hoped to be better armed next time.
