With the baby in her arms, there's only so much Katie can do, but she can't simply sit here when Sybil is in tears. She reaches out, touching her leg, a gentle reminder she's here. There's nothing she can do to change it, she knows, or to make it easier. But perhaps she can make it bearable for the moment. At the least she can try. At the moment, that may be the best they can hope for.

She nods. "Is he... he knows?" It's so much to carry. She has to hope Henri will be as understanding as he has always been with Sybil. She'll need him to get through this.
