"I blurted it all out. After I found her." Sybil is having a hard time saying her daughter's name. Somehow it feels that it will make this real. That if she says that name that they share there will be no going back. It's madness, a silly pretense, and yet she's clinging to it.

"That I remembered Tom, the baby, all of my life from before. That I loved him. Both of them." And now he's gone. Yes, to get formula and other things they need, but has she driven him away?
