It takes a moment for her to decide, considering him carefully. But, in the end her decision is to go with her instinct and to ignore the many social rules she's learned from her family. Social rules, she is discovering that are as often antiquated and silly as the laws that disallowed the vote for women.

"You are kind," she motions to the other chair at the small table, asking him to join her. "Would you like to see what I've picked?"
